Genetic Testing
Break the frustrating cycle of trial and error for more rapid improvement

Your genes affect the way medications work in your body, with some medications working better than others. Your genes also can affect how quickly your body breaks down (metabolizes) medicine and gets medicine into your bloodstream.
​
When a medication doesn’t work with your genes, you may not get the relief you need, and you may have additional unwanted side effects. By matching the medication to your genes, you have a much greater chance of getting on a medication that could help you.​

What is the test like?
Your DNA is collected using a simple cheek swab. No needles or blood needed. The results should come in 3-4 business days.

What is the cost?
For medicare patients the cost is free
If you have a commercial insurance plans, the maximum out of pocket cost would be $330.

Telepsychiatry
What is Telepsychiatry?
​
Telepsychiatry is the use of telecommunications technology to provide real-time health care to patients at a distance using video-conferencing using mobile phones, tablets, and desktop computers.
Telepsychiatry can be provided to a patient at home or work. With mobile devices, you, the patient, can be anywhere with access to the doctor.

Is Telepsychiatry secure?

At Arizona Restorative Psychiatry we use the Telepsychiatry services Doxy.Me and Simple Practice, which use encrypted point-to-point connections and are HIPAA-compliant and secure.
​
Can I do an initial evaluation with Telepsychiatry?
​
Yes, the initial evaluation may be done as a telepsychiatry appointment. It will be at that visit where the doctor and the patient will discuss if telepsychiatry is appropriate for future appointments.

FAQ

Please note certain medication or conditions will exclude you from the use of tele-psychiatry. Please speak to your provider about these exclusions.
​
You must visit the clinic at a minimum of 1x per year, to continue to qualify for telepsychiatry services.
Fees for telepsychiatry services will be the same as an in-office fee. No show and late cancellation fees still apply.
